President Obama has dropped some heavy sanctions on Russia for their interfering with the Presidential Election. He has put the ball in president-elect, Trump's hands to see that the sanctions are carried out. Mr. Trump has been hesitant to blame Russia for any interference with election, and it would seem like our next President feels the same way about computers as my 90-year-old grandmother:
Asked on Wednesday night at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Fla., about reports of the impending sanctions, Mr. Trump said: “I think we ought to get on with our lives. I think that computers have complicated lives very greatly. The whole age of computer has made it where nobody knows exactly what is going on. We have speed, we have a lot of other things, but I’m not sure we have the kind, the security we need.”
It's a littler scary having a complete luddite as President in a time in which technology shapes our lives more than ever. We are not headed back to using typewriters and telegrams any time soon, so hopefully someone will show Mr. Trump how to work a Macbook before he takes office.
