David Nakamura, reporting for the Washington Post:
President Trump on Friday accused former FBI director James B. Comey of lying under oath to Congress in the Russia investigation and called him a “leaker,” before suggesting he would be willing to give his side of the story to special counsel Robert Mueller.
“One hundred percent,” Trump said when asked by a reporter during a Rose Garden news conference if he would be open to talking to Mueller as part of the FBI probe he is overseeing.
“I’d be glad to tell him exactly what I just told you,” Trump added.
I would pay pretty good money to watch this. You have to wonder if Mr. Trump saw the kind of attention the Comey hearing drew and felt of a tinge of jealousy. The narrative around the Trump camp for the last couple of weeks has been how the president's lawyers have been instructing him to keep mum about all matters relating to Russia. Now this.
